Nissan Continues its Trend of Excellence With its Latest Award

For the sixth straight year, Nissan has been honored by the Environmental Protection Agency for the automaker's dedication to efficient work practices and a focus on eco-friendly advancements in the manufacturing world. With the Energy Star Partner of the Year – Sustained Excellence Award, the automaker proves that it's not just about making amazing new Nissan models, but also about improving the way cars are made. We here at our Nissan dealer in Hickory and near Mooresville are pretty happy to share that honor with our favorite brand.

With an effort to reduce its carbon footprint, Nissan looks at many ways it can be more efficient with the energy it uses in its facilities, including the many plants and offices here in the U.S. To get their cars over to our dealership near Newton, Statesville, Gastonia and Lake Norman without producing more greenhouse gases, Nissan does a number of things.

Improved LED lighting, enhancing a compressed air leak production program, using more efficient chilled water systems and implementing a paint process with less volatile organic compounds have all led to a 30-percent energy usage cut by Nissan. That's an impressive figure, and we know that this award is important for Nissan, so look forward to this brand continuing the trend for years to come.
